Dr. Chad Prather is a Baton Rouge native and lifelong Louisianan with a deep passion for medicine. As a passionate Dermatologist specializing in skin cancer treatment, reconstruction, and cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Prather is committed to providing exceptional care, focusing on medical and aesthetic outcomes.
In 2008, Dr. Prather owned and operated the Dermasurgery Center before merging with Sanova Dermatology. Today, Dr. Prather is proud to introduce Derma, an independent, patient-focused dermatology practice that combines cutting-edge treatments with personalized care for the Baton Rouge community.

Dr. Prather is the author of numerous scientific papers and textbook chapters on topics including skin cancer, facial fillers, and chemical peels. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Director for the LSU Department of Dermatology and is pursuing an MBA at Louisiana State University Shreveport.

Dr. Prather's greatest joy comes from his family.
He and his wife, Camile, have two daughters who keep them busy with their activities. As a family, they share a love for the equestrian world and are actively involved in horseback riding and competitions. This passion also fuels Dr. Prather's advocacy for sun safety in outdoor sports.
