Dr. Adam Carter is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. He specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive surgery, and dermatologic oncology, with a commitment to achieving the best possible cosmetic and functional outcomes.

Following medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and residency at New York Medical College, Dr. Carter completed his advanced fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at Affiliated Dermatologists and Dermatologic Surgeons in Morristown, New Jersey, one of the nation's top skin cancer treatment centers. Today, Dr. Carter brings more than six years of specialized Mohs surgery experience to Derma, where he provides personalized, patient-centered care while working closely with referring physicians to ensure continuous care during and after every stage of treatment.

Originally from California, Dr. Adam Carter has lived across the country throughout his medical training and career, including Virginia, Texas, New York, New Jersey, and Georgia. He met his wife, Katie, during their dermatology residency at New York Medical College, and together they have two young daughters. Outside the office, Dr. Carter enjoys spending time with his family, whether they're exploring local parks, discovering all that Baton Rouge has to offer, or making memories in their new community.
