Preparing for Your BBL® HEROic™ Treatment

What to Expect

BBL® HEROic™ treatments typically take 15-30 minutes, depending on the area. Most patients return to normal activities the same day. You may experience mild redness, warmth, or darkening of pigmented spots, which naturally fade over time.

BBL® HEROic™ has little to no downtime, but taking care of your skin post-treatment is key for healing and best results.

Post-Treatment Care

    • Wash the treated area 2x daily using plain, lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser.

    • Use hands and fingertips only with light patting motions.

    • Avoid scrubbing, exfoliating soaps, or cleansing tools like Clarisonic brushes.

    • Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturizer generously with clean hands.

    • Reapply as needed if the skin feels dry or tight.

    • Sunscreen is a MUST starting the day of treatment.

    • Use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ with UVA/UVB protection.

    • Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 14 days.

    • Reapply sunscreen consistently and wear protective clothing when outdoors.

    • Avoid strenuous exercise and sweating until the skin has fully healed.

    • If skin feels warm or sunburned, apply a cold compress or ice pack for comfort.

    • Do not use exfoliants, shaving, hot tubs, or swimming (especially those with chemicals/chlorine) until healing is complete.

    • Over-the-counter pain relief (e.g., Tylenol or Advil) can be used if needed.

    • In the rare event of broken skin or blistering, contact our office immediately.

    • Keep the area moist and out of direct sunlight.
